The workshop is now ticking away with the sound of many pocket watches! My how we had fun testing each one and attaching the chains. We are also busy getting ready for the Train Show-so much to do and we can't wait!
Everyone here is excited because it's starting to look like Christmas in the workshop. Supplies have been arriving to make conductor suits and accessory sets this week and there are boxes and tissue paper everywhere. It's even been a little bit of a struggle resisting the urge to turn on the Polar Express soundtrack and make hot chocolate! This morning we are testing all of the ticket punchers to make sure that they work perfectly and we are cutting out Polar Express tickets.
We are also very excited because we've signed on to be in the 3rd Annual Redwood Empire Train Show, held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in October. That means that we have to have all of our product ready to go even earlier than last year so we are busy busy busy.
The weather here on the coast this morning is foggy and a little drizzly. It makes you want to curl up next to the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and a good book. And it's perfect weather for preparing for Christmas in the middle of August. Ho! Ho! Ho!
